Obituary

PLYMOUTH ~ Roger Leo LeClerc, Sr., surrounded by his loving family, quietly passed into his heavenly reward on Tuesday, July 19, 2011. He was born on May 21, 1919 in St. Theodore DActon, Quebec to Aldeo and Orise (Joubert) LeClerc. His 92 full years began as a farm boy in Canada and he immigrated to Waterbury with his family at the age of 18. There he met the love of his life, Rita Helen OBrien and for 66 years has been a faithful loving husband. Together they raised 5 children; Dorothy Helen Dorso (Vincent), Elaine Alice Tremaglio (Anthony), Roger Leo LeClerc, Jr. (Donna), Richard Robert LeClerc (Monica), Diane Rita Jones (Steven), 13 grandchildren; Vincent Dorso, Jr. (Lisa), Anthony Tremaglio, Jr. (Marlo), Jason Dorso (Lori), Todd Tremaglio (Melanie), Alicia (LeClerc) Nowak (Mark), Rebekah (LeClerc) Stanowski (Frank), Jeremiah LeClerc, Jonathon LeClerc, Erica LeClerc, Emma LeClerc, Victoria Jones, Robin LeClerc and Heather Jones, 13 great grandchildren: Ryan LeClerc, Evan Dorso, Giuliana Dorso, Cole Tremaglio, Juliana Tremaglio, Dylan Stanowski, Justin Dorso, Aidan Stanowski, Michael Tremaglio, Jane Tremaglio, Kylee Dorso, Lecia Nowak and Isabelle Tremaglio, and over 70 nieces and nephews. He also leaves his siblings, Cecile Lamy, Henry LeClerc and Irene Morel. He is predeceased by 8 siblings, Alice Lagasse, Urban Sr., Paul, Arthur, Rita Blais, George Sr., Rene and Jeanne Gauthier. Roger was a tool setter by trade, working at Baldwin Mfg. Co. for 25 years, then at Sperry Automatics, retiring in 1984. In retirement, he functioned as a "Handyman" for Oak Cliff Convalescent Home in Waterbury. He enjoyed spending his winters in Florida with several of his siblings and family. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, July 23th from 5 to 8 pm at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott. Memorial services will be held on Sunday July 24th at 2:30 pm, at The Lyceum,181 Main St., Terryville followed by a reception. Burial will be private.
