Wolcott - Mr. Roger Jandreau, 85, of Wolcott, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at Wolcott View Manor. He was the loving husband of 65 years to Mrs. Iona (Pelletier) Jandreau. Roger was born on March 12, 1930 in St. Francis, ME, son of the late Onizime and Regina (Thibodeau) Jandreau. Roger married the love of his life and started his family in Maine before moving to Connecticut. Roger was a very hard worker his entire life and loved working outside in his yard. He also loved music, playing his guitar and singing. He worked for DAPA Construction for a number of years and later worked for the Town of Wolcott Highway Department as a truck driver, retiring in 1995. After his retirement he went on to work part time in the Wolcott Town Landfill until 2014. Besides his wife, Roger is survived by three children, Andrew Jandreau and his wife Linda of Waterbury, Roger K. Jandreau of Oakville, and Judy Jandreau of Wolcott; his brother Medric Jandreau and his wife Marybelle of Bristol; two sisters, Nadine Jandreau of St. Francis, ME, and Arline Jandreau of Danforth, ME; three granddaughters, Jennifer LaForme and her fianc Jason Hultgren of Ansonia, Dana Jandreau and Melissa Jandreau both of Waterbury; two great grandsons, Jeffery Pashko and Hunter Irwin; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Paul Jandreau and his brother in law, Alva. Family and friends may call on Saturday, February 20, from 9:00 to 10:15 A.M. at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. at St. Pius X Church, 525 Woodtick Rd. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery.
