ROGER J. DEVOST TERRYVILLE ~ Roger J. Devost, 66 of Terryville passed away on Sunday, January 17th at Bristol Hospital. He was the husband of Karen (Veillette) Devost. Roger was born January 14, 1944 in Waterbury, son of the late Joseph and Blanche (Ayotte) Devost. He was a 1962 graduate of Wolcott High School and attended the University of Hartford. Roger was fond of vintage cars and proudly owned a 1932 Plymouth Coupe which won several trophies in various local car shows. He enjoyed golfing and bowling. Roger had been employed as Manager of the Christmas Tree Shop in Orange and was a District Manager for Bradlees Department Stores before they closed. He attended St. Pius X Church. Besides his wife of 45 years, he leaves his son, Darrin and his wife Tammy of Bristol, his daughter Debra Barton and her husband, Chris of Barkhamsted, his sister, Claudette Aczas and her husband, Richard of Waterbury, and his grandchildren, Griffen Barton and Bryce and Hailey Devost. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10 am at St. Pius X Church, 525 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott. Friends are asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 5 to 8 pm at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott.
