Mr. Robert E. Ruegg WOLCOTT ~ Robert E. Ruegg, 76, passed away on August 26, 2013. He was the companion to Joyce Thibodeau of Waterbury and the widow of Mary (Giattino) Ruegg. Robert was born in Waterbury on March 13, 1937, son of the late John and Anna (Egert) Ruegg. He was a Marine Corp. Veteran and served during peacetime. He became an electrician by trade and was active with his enjoyments of fishing, playing cards, gardening, watching the horse races and going to Foxwoods. He was a former duckpin bowler. But most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. He is survived by his children, Robert and Steven of Wolcott, Mark and his wife Brenda of Wolcott, Sherry Mancini of Wolcott, Valerie Lorusso and her husband Michael of Watertown, a sister Polly Halloway of Southington, eleven grandchildren, Samantha, Robert A., Christopher, Steven, Mark, Matthew, Gina, Michaelangelo, Michael and Grant. He was predeceased by a brother Gerald Ruegg. Friends and family are asked to gather on Saturday, August 31 at Woodtick Memorial from 2-5pm. Burial will be private.
