Waterbury - Mr. Robert A. Rinaldi, 65, passed away on Wednesday, December 23, at Wolcott View Manor, surrounded by his loving family.
Robert was born in Waterbury, on July 5, 1950, son of the late Anthony V. and Concetta (Sampieri) Rinaldi, Sr. Raised in Wolcott, he attended local schools and was a graduate of Wolcott High School, Class of 1968. In 1969, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served honorably with the 6th Fleet. In 2004, he retired from the United States Post Office, having worked at the Grand Street office in Waterbury for 32 years.
He is survived by his brothers, Joseph M. Rinaldi and his wife Joan of Harwinton, Richard C. Rinaldi and his wife Lucia of Wolcott, Stephen J. Rinaldi and his wife Danielle of Plymouth and Anthony V. Rinaldi, Jr and his companion Lyn Sheeler of Wolcott; his sister, Joan L. Randall of Woodstock, VT; three nieces; one nephew; two great nieces and one great nephew.
Arrangements: Calling hours will be held on Monday, December 28, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Woodtick Memorial 420 Woodtick Rd. Wolcott. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 29, at 12:00 P.M. at St. Pius X Church in Wolcott. Burial with military honors will follow in Woodtick Cemetery.
