Wolcott - Robert L. Demers Jr. passed away June 30th at St. Mary's Hosp. Robert was born in Waterbury, May 20, 1937, son of the late Robert & Linda (Santopietro) Demers, Sr. He attended Waterbury schools and was employed by Anaconda for over 30 years. Throughout his life Robert enjoyed boating, photography and was an avid Yankee fan. He leaves behind his wife Susan, a daughter Lauren Hovelle (Brian), and granddaughter Holly, a son Rob Demers (Debbie), and grandson Alex. He also leaves his siblings Janice Perham (Michael), Donna Wydner (Roger), Judy Andrews (Warren), Arthur Demers (Maria), and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Robert also leaves his extended family, Skip and Sheila Baummer, Colin, Arlinda and Juliet Baummer-Carr, Andrew Baummer and Hilary Swaim, Pat Reid Cavanaugh, April Nowicki and Justin Klatt, Rachel Nowicki and Michael Hodges, Judy and Tom Wyatt, and Jose and Maria Pedraza. At Robert's request there will be no calling hours. His family will have a celebration of his life at a future date.
