WOLCOTT ~ Robert J. Dauphinais, 87, of Wolcott passed away on Tuesday, November 26,2013 at St. Marys Hospital surrounded by his family. He was the widower of Mary Ann (Rosse) Dauphinais.
Bob was born November 25, 1926 in Waterbury, son of the late William and Mary (Roy) Dauphinais. He served with the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was the owner of Bobs Gulf Station for many years and retired in 2008 from Bozzuto, Inc. after 30 years of service. Bob participated in and enjoyed watching youth sports while his children were younger. He also enjoyed his computer, but the greatest joy was spending time with his family. Bob was a parishioner of St. Pius X Church and a member of The American Legion Post 0165.
He leaves his children, William J. Dauphinais and his wife, Gianna, James G. Dauphinais and his wife, Shirley, and Robert G. Dauphinais and his wife, Denise, all of Wolcott and his grandchildren, Kristina and Eric Dauphinais, Derrik Dauphinais, Lcpl. Evan Gauthier and Alex Gauthier; and a loving extended family. He was predeceased by his infant daughter.
The family would like to extend their sincerest appreciation to staff at St. Mary's Hospital CCU/ICU-O'Brien 3 and the Cheshire House for their care and compassion.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, December 2nd at 11 am at St. Pius X Church, 525 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott followed by burial in Woodtick Cemetery. Friends are asked to meet at the church. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 4 pm to 7 pm at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott.
