RITA M. DESJARDINS PEABODY, MA ~ Rita M. (Charbonneau) Desjardins, 88, of Peabody, Mass passed away on Friday, July 10th at Rosewood Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of Ernest Desjardins. Mrs. Desjardins was born July 28, 1920 in St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada, daughter of the late Adelard and Marguerite (Desjardins) Charbonneau. She spent most of her life in Waterbury and was a former member of Sts. Peter & Paul Church. She retired in 1983 from American Electro Products after 18 years of service. She leaves her devoted daughter, Florence Savage of Lowell, MA, and her sons, Paul Desjardins of Thomaston, and George Desjardins of Fountain Inn, S.C., 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by four brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 9:30 am from the Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott to Sts. Peter & Paul Church for a funeral mass at 10:30 am. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5 to 8 pm.
