RICHARD ROBERGE
WATERBURY ~ Richard Roberge, 69, of Waterbury passed away on Saturday, July 11th at St. Marys Hospital after a long illness. He was the husband of Barbara (Moore) Roberge.
Mr. Roberge was born January 2, 1940 in Waterbury, son of the late Francois and Rose-Marie (Forget) Roberge. He served with the U.S. Navy Reserve during peacetime. He retired from Timex Corp. in Torrington after 23 years of service. Prior employment included 13 years of service at the Waterbury Republican, the Hartford Times and the Bridgeport Herald. He was a member of the Shrine of St. Anne and the Franco American Social Club. From 1961 to 1963, he was an Auxiliary State Trooper for the Bethany Barracks.
Besides his wife, Barbara of 25 years, he leaves several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 9:15 am from the Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott to the Shrine of St. Anne for a funeral mass at 10 am. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Watertown. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 8:30 until the time of the service.
