Wolcott - Richard Anthony Joseph, Jr, 45, passed away on Friday, November 25, at Yale New Haven Hospital surrounded by his loved ones.
Richard was born February 4, 1971 in Holyoke, MA, son of Richard and Lorraine Joseph of Wolcott. He was a welder by trade and was the author of a series of childrens books.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his son, Cristian Z. Beiler of Salado, TX; his sister, Monica Santovasi and her husband Raymond of Wolcott; his nieces, Sophia and Sadie Santovasi; his longtime girlfriend, Cheryl Hayes and her children, Zachary and Delilah and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Rich had a heart of gold and he loved his family and friends deeply. He had a smile that could light up a room and loved to make people laugh. He was a gifted writer and in addition to his books he wrote many heartfelt poems.
Richard touched the hearts of many and will be missed immensely.
Arrangements: Calling hours will be held on Thursday, December 1, from 8:00 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. at Woodtick Memorial 420 Woodtick Rd. in Wolcott. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11:00 A.M. at Saints Peter and Paul Church in Waterbury. Burial will be in the Edgewood Cemetery in Wolcott.
