Obituary

Richard "Richie" Galullo, 71, of Thomaston, passed away peacefully at home on December 12, 2025. He was the devoted husband of LeeAnn (Gamble) Galullo, with whom he shared a lifetime of cherished memories.

Born in Waterbury on February 23, 1954, to the late Daniel and Norma (Ruey) Galullo, Richie lived a life defined by hard work, passion, and family. For more than 46 years, he dedicated himself to Gaudiosi Hauling, where his commitment and reliability earned respect of his co-workers and friends.

Richie's heart was always on the track. Growing up in a racing family, he carried forward that tradition with pride, competing at venues across New England, including Plainville, Riverside, and Stafford Springs. His love for racing was more than a pastime; it was a legacy passed down from his father and one he shared with those around him.

He leaves behind his daughter Deanna Galullo, and her fiancé Greg Trahan; his son Daniel Galullo; grandchildren Dylan Galullo and Elyssa Galullo, along with her fiancée Brianna Alva; and his great-grandson, Kingston Lee. Richie is also survived by his siblings Christine Fitzgerald, Daniel Galullo and his wife Helene, Sandra Wester, Philip Galullo and their families, as well as countless relatives and friends.

Richie's life was a testament to devotion: to his family, his work, and his passions. His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Richard's life on Sunday January 4, 2026 during calling hours from 1 to 3 PM at Woodtck Memorial 420 Woodtick Rd in Wolcott. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Woodtick Memorial is honored to care for Richard's family and you are encouraged to visit his tribute page on www.woodtickmemorial.com.
