Loving Husband, Father & Grandfather
WOLCOTT ~ Richard T. Famiglietti, Sr., 65, of Wolcott passed away on Sunday, May 30th surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Linda (Perkins) Famiglietti.
Richard was born March 2, 1945 in Waterbury, son of the late Rocco and Antoinette (Panasci) Famiglietti. He retired from General Motors after 17 years of service and was a member of the United Auto Workers Union. Richard was devoted to his family and loved spending time with them, especially his granddaughter, Taylor. He spent every day with his twin brother, Ronald sharing that time over coffee. Being an avid 50s and 60s record collector, he enjoyed spending time at the local flea markets looking to add to his collection.
Beside his wife, Linda of 42 years, he leaves his sons, Richard T. Famiglietti, Jr. and his significant other, Denise Carter of Wolcott and Steven Famiglietti of Hartford, his twin brother, Ronald Famiglietti of Waterbury, his sister, Sandra Taylor and her husband, Victor of Waterbury, and his granddaughter, Taylor Famiglietti, his mother and father-in-law, Albert and Betty Perkins of Plymouth, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Albert and Ginny Perkins of Plymouth and Susan and Lou Dobler of Naugatuck and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters, Josephine Wieszezicinski and Nina Simons.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 5th at 10:30 am at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 9 am until the time of the service. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
The family would like to thank the Harold Leever Cancer Center for the support and care that was given to Richard.
