Mr. Rene G. Lacombe, 87, of North Port Florida, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2026 in Sarasota, FL. He was the beloved husband of Lina (Boisvert) Lacombe, the love of his life, for 64 years.

Rene was born in Waterbury, CT on April 27, 1939 to the late Alfred and Aldea (Gelinas) Lacombe. After graduating from Kaynor Technical School, Rene served in the Navy. Rene worked for Siemon Company for 34 years and retired as Plant Manager in 1994. He enjoyed golf, going to the horse races with family, fishing, playing lottery games and building golf clubs for family and friends. He will always be remembered for being very family-oriented and a devout Catholic.

In addition to his wife Lina, Rene leaves his two sisters Lillian Orzell and Irene Lacombe, his brother Roger Lacombe, several generations of nieces and nephews. Rene was predeceased by three brothers, Maurice, Raymond and Charles Lacombe, his two sisters Theresa Lacombe and Cecile Soucy.

Friends and family are invited to his Funeral Mass on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, beginning at 10 AM at St Mary Magdalen Church/ Holy Disciples Parish 2 Buckingham St. in Oakville. Immediately following, his urn will be laid to rest in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery Mausoleum. Lina and family will receive condolences at church beginning at 9:30 AM.
