Bristol ~ Rena E. (Asselin) Lavorgna, of Bristol, 88, widow of Louis Lavorgna, passed away on April 8, 2013 at Waterbury Hospital. Mrs. Lavorgna was born October 17, 1924 in Lowell, MA, daughter of the late Hector and Alice (Breault) Asselin. She and her husband spent many years in Prospect before moving to Florida and then finally settling in Bristol. During her time in Florida she spent countless hours at the beach, collecting seashells and crafting special projects for her family and friends. Rena enjoyed arts and crafts and bingo. She leaves her sons, William Lavorgna and his wife, Jean Smith of Cranston, RI, and Peter Lavorgna and his wife, Linda of Lexington, S.C., 12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 8 great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sons, Michael and David Lavorgna. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday at 11 am at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott followed by burial in Calvary Cemetery.
