Obituary

We sadly announce the sudden passing of Regina (Gemski) Giordino on Saturday December 6, 2025 which was the day before her 80th birthday. For the last 58 years, Regina has been the beloved wife of Andy Giordino and they have resided on Hitchcock Lake in Wolcott for over 20 years.

Regina was born in New Haven, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Swinik) Gemski. Her career was in teaching, beginning in elementary schools and finishing in special education in many schools throughout CT.

Spending time with her family was her greatest love, especially entertaining them at her home on the lake. She and Andy raised their three children in Cheshire, where they lived for many years. She was also a very faithful person and parishioner of St. Maria Goretti Church.

In addition to her husband Andy, Regina leaves her daughter Michelle Luba and her partner Benjamin Storrs, and son Christopher A. Giordino, her four grandchildren Kaitlyn and Nicole Luba, Christopher D. and Serena Giordino, her sister Alice Haggerty and her husband Robert Blumenson. Regina was predeceased by her son Peter Giordino and her brother Joseph Gemski.
