WOLCOTT It is with a great sadness that we announce the sudden passing on Friday, May 17th of Rebecca A. Lukeski beloved wife of Andy Chernak and Nana to so many people.
Rebecca was born in Waterbury on September 25, 1957 the daughter of the late Stanley and Mary (Dickerson) Lukeski. She was a graduate of NVCC and a member of Phi Theta Kappa Society. She was formerly employed at Southbury Training School.
Rebeccas greatest joy was providing a wonderful home and caring for her family. She was called Nana by everyone including her wonderful neighbors on and around Lake Hitchcock, her family and many other friends. She was famous for cooking and baking wonderful cookies, pierogies and other treats. She also loved and took great care of her dogs 'T' and 'Honey'. She loved to decorate her yard, street curb and home. Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas were her favorite holidays.
In addition to her husband Andy of 34 years, Nana will be deeply missed by her daughters Rebecca Cuddy Pacheco, Jessica Lukeski, her brother Raymond Lukeski and his wife Beverley, her beloved grandchildren Miranda Cuddy, Christopher Pacheco and great-granddaughter RaeElla Cuddy, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Rebeccas life on Friday May 24th beginning with calling hours from 8:30 to 10:30 AM at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in St. Pius X Church/ St. Basil Parish.
