Obituary

WOLCOTT ~ Raymond P. Perry, 89 of Wolcott passed away on Monday, April 15,2013 at St. Marys Hospital. He was the husband of Jeannette (Fortier) Perry. Ray was born September 9, 1923 in Bangor, ME, son of the late Walter and Elizabeth Ann (Thibodeau) Perry. He served with the U.S. Navy during WWII. Ray retired from Robertshaw-Lux Clock after many years of service. He was a founding member of the Wolcott Eagles Club, a member of the American Legion Post 165 and the V.F.W., Post 1965. He was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed watching golf, especially following Tiger Woods and the UConn Girls Basketball team. Ray followed world events, as well as gardening and jig saw puzzles. Besides his wife, Jeannette of 67 years, he leaves his children, Ann (Scully) Block of Wolcott and William P. Perry and his wife, Teri of Manheim, PA, his grandchildren, Karyn and Doreen Scully and James Scully, Jr., Sean and Heather Perry and his great grandchildren, Thomas and Joshua Scully and Jordan and Connor Perry. A funeral service will be held on April 27, 2013 at 2:30 pm at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1 pm until the time of the service. Memorial gifts may be made to the Wolcott Volunteer Ambulance, P.O. Box 6066, Wolcott, CT 06716.
