Mr. Raymond E. Deschenes Sr, 82, beloved husband of Sharon (Guertin) Deschenes passed suddenly on Friday August 15, 2025, in Milford.

Born in Waterbury on May 23, 1943, Ray was the son of the late Armand and Mary "Mae" (Delaney) Deschenes. Ray attended Croft High School then apprenticed with M.J. Fahy to begin his lifelong career in plumbing & heating. He went on to start his own company R.E. Deschenes Plumbing and Heating where he worked for over 55 years faithfully serving his community.

Sharon and Ray were married for over 60 years. They lived in Wolcott for over 50 years, where they raised their four children, Raymond Jr., Brian, Kenneth and Lynette Deschenes with whom he will be deeply missed. He also leaves behind his daughter-in-law Diane, his two grandchildren, Colton & Jillian and one great grandchild Theodore, his brother Robert, sisters Mary and Margaret and several nieces and nephews. Ray was predeceased by his brother James Deschenes and sister Irene Deschenes.

Friends and family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday August 23, 2025, beginning at 11 AM at St. Pius Church/St. Basil Parish at 525 Woodtick Road in Wolcott. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
