Randy J. LaBonte Always helped others WOLCOTT- Randy Joseph LaBonte, 53, passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at Hartford Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born in Waterbury on February 16, 1970, he was the son of Joan (Cosmos) LaBonte of Wolcott and the late Joseph "Henry" LaBonte. He graduated from Wolcott High School in 1988. He was a sheet metal worker and was employed with Union Local 40 for over 30 years. Randy was the kind of person that would always help others. He was highly skilled in everything from construction, remodeling to auto mechanics. He loved hiking, the outdoors and the Boston Red Sox. He was famous for playing pranks and joking around. In addition to his mother Joan with whom he lived, Randy leaves his brother Ronald LaBonte, sisters Pamela and her husband Richard Miller Sr., Theresa LaBonte Crocetto all of Wolcott. He will also be deeply missed by his 10 nieces and nephews who thought of him as more of a big brother than an uncle, as well as 20 great nieces and nephews and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was blessed with countless wonderful friends that will be heartbroken by his passing. Calling hours for Randy will be on Sunday from 12 to 2 pm at Woodtick Memorial 420 Woodtick Rd. in Wolcott.
