Thomaston Mr. Peter Charles Famiglietti, 73, of Thomaston, passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Yale New Haven Hospital. He was the husband of Mrs. Judy (Sandford) Famiglietti. Peter was born on April 28, 1943 in Waterbury, son of the late Peter A. Famiglietti and Gladys (DeFelice) (Famiglietti) Guerrera. Peter attended local schools and graduated from Croft High School in 1961. He worked for several companies throughout his career including DTEC and Venus Consolidated in Wolcott: and retired from Albea Co. in Thomaston. Peter also owned his own screw machine company, PF Industries of Wolcott for a number of years. Peter was an EMT with the Wolcott Volunteer Ambulance for several years and he played and taught drums in his younger years. He was an avid New York Yankees, New York Giants, and UConn Huskies fan. Besides his wife Judy, Peter is survived by his son, Peter A. Famiglietti and his husband Demin Zhuang of Wolcott; his step father, Richard Guerrera of Boynton Beach, FL; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends; and his favorite companion, Abbey. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Yale New Haven and St. Raphaels Hospital; and Dr. George Barchini and staff from Primary Care Center of Thomaston. Family and friends may call on Monday, April 24, 2017 from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. at St. Pius X Church, 525 Woodtick Rd. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Peters name to the Wolcott Volunteer Ambulance, 48 Todd Rd, Wolcott, CT 06716 or the Thomaston Volunteer Ambulance, 237 South Main St, Thomaston, CT 06787 or the St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital at www.stjude.org
