Wolcott - Patricia Wood, 68, of Wolcott, passed away peacefully on Saturday evening, July 5, 2014 at the VITAS Innovative Care Unit at St. Marys Hospital. Patricia was born on July 26, 1945 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Charles and Helen (Cowan) Wood. A lifetime Wolcott resident, she attended local schools and was a graduate of Wolcott High School, class of 1963. She was a bookkeeper at Sears for 35 years until her retirement and was a communicant at St. Maria Goretti Church in Wolcott. Patricia is survived by her sister, Norene OBrien of Wolcott; her sister-in-law, Sally Wood of Wolcott; nieces and nephews, Michele Crockett and her husband Dan, Kelly Lynch, Sean Lynch, Charles Wood and his wife Valerie, and John Wood, Jr.; and several other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, John Wood, Sr. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Marie Goretti Church, 1300 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery in Naugatuck. Family and friends may call on Wednesday morning from 9:00 A.M. until the time to leave for church at 10:15 A.M., at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott.
