Otis A. Goodrich US Air Force Veteran WOLCOTT- Mr. Otis A. "Tex" Goodrich, 86, husband of the late Barbara (Zukoski) Goodrich, passed away peacefully at Cheshire House on Tuesday, August 6, 2024. Born in Leachville, AR on November 5, 1937, Otis was the son of the late Luther and Ola Belle (Holmes) Goodrich. Due to some unfortunate tragedies, Otis and some of his siblings were raised in the Southern Christian Home in Morrilton, AR where they were well taken care of. Tex served in the US Air Force where he learned mechanic skills that led to a long career with Pratt & Whitney. He married Barbara, who was also in the Air Force. They settled in Wolcott, CT where they lived the rest of their lives. Tex was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys football team from when they were the Dallas Texans before the NFL was started. Left to carry on his legacy are his daughter Jennifer Trombley, his two grandchildren Bennett and Gabrielle Trombley all of Wolcott and his sister Sue Haynes of St. Louis, MO. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by his siblings Carlos Goodrich, Donna Laverle Goodrich, Bonnie Brown, Alice Carolyn Hudson and Veaundella Mae Hendricks. Graveside services with full military honors will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
