NORMA F. GRONDIN
WATERBURY ~ Norma (Dizer) Grondin, 79, of Waterbury passed away on Saturday, August 15th at St. Marys Hospital. She was the widow of Ralph H. Grondin.
Norma was born October 18, 1929 in Weymouth, MA, daughter of the late
Norman and Lilla (Wing) Dizer. For many years, she and her husband operated a farm on Angel St. in Manchester. She had also been employed at Caldors in Manchester as a Department Manager. While living in Manchester, she was a Den Leader for all aspects of scouting and taught religious education at various congregational churches. Norma and Ralph moved to Ft. Meyers in the late 1980s and resided there for five years before returning to Connecticut. Before her illness, she attended services at the Wolcott Congregational Church.
She leaves her sons, Paul E. Grondin of Baldwinsville, NY and Ralph E. Grondin of Wolcott, her daughter, Deborah Mulock of Newtown, her sister, Marilyn Cunningham of Malakoff, TX, 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, David.
Cremation graveside services for Norma and Ralph will be held on Saturday, August 22nd at 11 am at the State Veterans Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane, Middletown at 11 am. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery. Woodtick Memorial, Wolcott has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
