IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Nancy
Testa
November 11, 1934 – September 11, 2025
Nancy Testa
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nancy A. Testa, who peacefully left us on September 11, 2025, following a long illness. Nancy was born on November 11, 1934, in Waterbury, CT, to Joseph Lambo and Florence Manzella.
Nancy began her career as a nurse, working in the office of the well-respected obstetrician, Dr. Moore, before transitioning to the finance department at Waterbury Hospital. Later she found her true calling in the hospital's library, where she worked until her retirement.
In her later years, Nancy embraced community and friendship at Wolcott's Charles Rietdyke Senior Center, where she was an integral member of the knitting group. Through this group Nancy and her friends worked to create beautiful knitted items for donation to the American troops overseas, offering their warmth and support to those far from home. Nancy's giving spirit and the camaraderie she shared with the group will always be remembered by those who had the privilege to know her.
Nancy was predeceased by her beloved husband John Testa Sr., with whom shared many cherished memories. She is survived by her only son John Testa Jr., and his wife Doreen, who lovingly cared for Nancy in her final years. Nancy was also the proud grandmother of John Testa lll, who, along with his husband Zach Stevens (West Rutland, Vermont), brought her much happiness. Her granddaughter, Jillian Zahariadis (Testa) of Wolcott, and great-granddaughter Anastasia Zahariadis, whom Nancy adored, were the light of her life.
Woodtick Memorial is honored to assist Nancy's family at this time. All services are private and at the convenience of the family. You may leave condolences on her tribute page at www.woodtickmemorial.com.
