Waterbury Ms. Claire M. Gelinas, 83, passed away on Sunday evening, August 22, at the Waterbury Hospital. Claire was born November 28, 1937 in Waterbury, daughter of the late, Lionel and Antoinette (Gelinas) Gelinas. Claire was a lifelong resident of Waterbury and retired as an organist, she had served many local churches during her career. Claire is survived by two nieces, Linda Gelinas and her partner Karen Dominy and Cynthia Santulli and her husband Dana all of Waterbury; one nephew, Jeffrey Gelinas of Waterbury; her dear friend Mary Kelly and several cousins. She was predeceased by her brother, Fernand Gelinas and her nephew, Steven Gelinas. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, August 30, at 11:00 A.M. Saints Peter and Paul Church (Mary, Mother of the Church Parish) 67 Southmayd Rd. Waterbury. Entombment will follow in Calvary Garden Mausoleum.
