Beloved Mom and Grandma Mrs. Rose LeVasseur Waterbury ~ Mrs. Rose M. (Sirica) LeVasseur, 69, of Gaylord Dr., passed on Sunday, November 4, 2012, after a brief illness while surrounded by her loving family. She was the faithful wife of Michael W. LeVasseur Sr. Rose was born June 12, 1943 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Samuel and Rose (Pirro) Sirica. She was a lifelong resident in Waterbury, a former member of the Church of Hope in Waterbury and present member of the Grace Life Church in Torrington. Rose had a very large heart showing it by always putting others needs before herself. Most important to her was her family and friends, she would always cook and was very fond of treating her grandchildren to something special all the time. People always felt her love and warmth that she radiated. She enjoyed collecting Bells and strongly believed that "the angel gets their wings when a bell rings". Christmas was her favorite holiday as all the things she liked to do was at that time of year. Mom, Rose, grandma and dear friend will be deeply missed by many. She leaves her children, Elizabeth Henry and her husband Wayne of Westbrook, Victoria LeVasseur of Waterbury, Michael Jr. and his wife Tina LeVasseur of MA, Rose Krantz of Oakville, William and his wife Anne LeVasseur of Fairfield and her son at heart, Richard LeVasseur, a sister Carolyn Sirica of Wolcott, grandchildren Jessica, Rachel, Amanda, Michael III, Trisha, Nicholas, Maxwell, Virginia, Annelise, Michael S., James, great grandchild Griffin, several nieces, nephews and many cousins. She was pre deceased by a brother Samuel Sirica and a sister Erminia Cronan. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 10th at 12 pm at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott, CT 06716. Family and friends are asked to gather for calling hours from 10am until the time of the service. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to VNA Hospice 50 Brookside Rd. Waterbury, CT 06708.
