Waterbury - Nancy E. (Tyler) Martin, 71, died on Friday, December 16. She was the wife of Theodore E. Martin. Nancy was born March 24, 1945 in Waterbury, daughter of the late James and Florence (Molin) Tyler. Raised in Cheshire she attended local schools and was a graduate of Cheshire High School. An active and longtime member of Christ Episcopal Church in Waterbury she was involved in many church functions and has volunteered as a Sunday School teacher for many years. She was a member of Amaranth for over 25 years and became a Royal matron. She had been employed as a CNA for 25 years and spent the last 15 years happily taking care of her grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling to Florida to see her sister and seeing plays in New York. In addition to her husband she is survived by her five children, Richard T. Martin of Las Vegas, NV, Jennifer A. Bard and her fianc Randy L. Corsi of Wolcott, David F. Martin of Waterbury, Scott T. Martin and his wife Monique of Waterbury and Laura L. Martin of Waterbury; three sisters, Elsie Graham and her husband James, Barbara Schenck and her husband Gene and Jo Ann Lisee and her husband Jack; two sister-in-laws, Dorothy Grimshaw and Betty Flanigan; her best friend of 64 years, Edna Murphy; seven grandchildren, Samantha, Raymond, Lucas, Antonio, Meara, Zachary and Abigail and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, George Tyler. Arrangements: Funeral services will be held on Thursday evening, December 22, at 7:00 P.M. at Woodtick Memorial 420 Woodtick Rd. in Wolcott. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4:00 P.M. until time of service. Burial will be private.
