Wolcott - Marcelle Drouin Wynne, 74, died peacefully after a brief illness on Wednesday, June 15th at Hartford Hospital. She was born to the late Joseph and Marie Drouin, March 20, 1937, in New Britain, CT. She married John Wynne in 1958 and they lived in Wolcott for the past forty-eight of their fifty-three years of marriage. Marcelle worked at Raymond's Building Supply for over twenty-five years. She was a member of the Wolcott Volunteer Fire Department's Ladies Auxiliary for Company 3. She was a bingo aficionado, enjoyed crossword puzzles, window gardens, flowers and houseplants. Marcelle's most beloved past time was gathering with the family over amazing home cooked meals with Christmas time as her favorite. Marcelle is survived by her husband, John, four children: Donna Wynne of Queensbury, NY, Jim Wynne of Watertown, CT, Phyllis Wynne of Oakville, CT, and Dan Wynne of Bristol, CT, eight grandchildren, Angela, Dana, Stephanie, Heather, Matthew, Jesse, Thomas, and Isaac, four great-grandchildren, Isabella, Victoria, Juliette, and Ryan Joseph, three sisters, Jeanine Barrett, Marie Malley, and Fern Kornichuk. She was predeceased by brother Guy Drouin. Friends and family are invited to gather at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Road, on Monday, June 20th from 5:00 - 8:00 pm. A scattering service will be held on Tuesday, June 21st at 10:30 am at the St. Maria Goretti Church memorial garden. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the St. Maria Goretti Parish Center, 1300 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott, CT 06716.
