Waterbury - Mrs. Jeannine Rose (LeClerc) Knell, 67, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at the Cheshire House surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Mr. John Knell.
Jeannine was born on August 5, 1946 in Waterbury, daughter of the late George and Theresa (LaFreniere) LeClerc. She was a member of the American Legion Post 165 and The American Legion Womens Auxiliary. She enjoyed crafts, bowling, snowmobiling and trips to the casino, but most of all she cherished the time she was able to spend with her family.
Besides her husband, Jeannine is survived by her two daughters, Keely ONeil and her husband, Allen, and Krista Cavanaugh and her husband, Thomas, both of Wolcott; her twin sister, Jeannette Czerwinski, and her husband, John, of Plantsville; a brother, George LaClerc, Jr., and his wife Maureen, of Plantsville; and her three grandchildren, Tyler ONeil, Jayda Cavanaugh, and Jordan ONeil.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the ALS Association and the doctors and staff at the Cheshire House for the loving care given to Jeannine the final years of her life.
Funeral services will be held on Monday evening, April 21, 2014 at 8:00 P.M. at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott. Burial will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. Family and friends may call on Monday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations are asked to be made in Jeannines name to the ALS Association of Connecticut, 4 Oxford Rd, Milford, CT 06460 or to The Cheshire House, 3396 E Main St, Waterbury, CT 06705.
