Waterbury- Mrs. Janet M. (Charron) Bertulis, 85, died on Sunday, August 16, at Vitas Innovative Hospice. She was the wife of Edward Bertulis. Mrs. Bertulis was born August 6, 1930 in Westfield, MA, daughter of the late Henry and Eugenie (Martel) Charron. She had worked for many years at St. Marys Hospital as a CNA and then as a unit clerk. Janet was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister and a devout Catholic. She will be remembered for her love of playing scrabble, bingo, trips to the casino, milk duds and being an avid Red Sox fan. Her dry wit will truly be missed by all. In addition to her husband of 64 years, she is survived by her children, Lynn Poole, Kathleen Bertinetti and her husband Joseph, Mark Bertulis and his wife Tracy, Jacquelyn McDowell and Nancy Bertulis and her partner Kym Stohl; seven grandchildren, Chris and Matthew Poole, Rebekah, Joshua and Emily McDowell and Kassondra and Todd Bertulis; two great-grandchildren, Derek and Robyn Poole; her sisters, Evelyn Girouard, Lucille Krasnovsky and Claire Belval; sister-in-law, Shirley Bertulis and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Henry Charron. The family would like to thank Dr. Jega and all the staff of Vitas Innovative Hospice Unit at St. Marys Hospital for their care. Arrangements: Calling hours are Wednesday, August 19, from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Woodtick Memorial 420 Woodtick Rd. Wolcott. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, August 20, at 9:00 A.M. at St. Patricks Church in Waterbury. Friends are asked to meet at church. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Watertown.
