WATERBURY~ Mrs. Irene B. Lewis, 93, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at Wolcott View Manor. She was the widow of Richard M. Lewis. Irene was born March 30, 1919 in Waterbury to the late Louis and Laura (LaPlante) Boisvert. Irene was a member of SS Peter & Paul Church and a lifelong resident of Waterbury. Irene is survived by her daughters, Sister Janet Lewis, Daughters of the Holy Spirit of Hartford, Elizabeth "Betty" Puglia and her husband John of Waterbury, her grandchildren, Margaret Irene Saunders of Plainville, Christina Ann Saunders of Waterbury, a soon to arrive great grandchild, Mia, and two nieces and two nephews. A celebration of Irenes life will be held on Monday at 9 am from Woodtick Memorial, to arrive at SS Peter and Paul Church for a Mass at 10:30 am. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Waterbury. Family and friends may gather at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd. Wolcott, on Sunday from 4-7 pm.
