Wolcott Mrs. Gudrun (Hirche) Lesnikoski, 84, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 11, 2024. She was the widow of Ted Lesnikoski, her beloved husband of 33 years. Gudrun was born April 27, 1940, in Nordenham, Germany, daughter of the late Wilhelm and Maria (Horne) Hirche. At the age of 21 Gudrun immigrated to the United States through Ellis Island. Gudrun was a vibrant woman who had the biggest heart of anyone. She loved her family and enjoyed staying connected with her friends and relatives still living in Germany. She is survived by her daughter, Julie Deangelo and her husband Bryan of Cheshire; her son, Jeffrey Lesnikoski, his wife Lourdes and her treasured granddaughter, Sophia Lesnikoski of Ocoee, FL; several nieces and nephews and of course her little fur baby, Spike. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by brother Gerd Hirche and her sister, Helma Ledebrink. The family wishes to thank her nephew Rick who was a loving caregiver to her. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 14 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Woodtick Memorial 420 Woodtick Rd. Wolcott. A prayer service will follow at 7:00 P.M. Burial of cremains will take place on Wednesday morning at 11:00 A.M. at the Woodtick Cemetery.
