Waterbury- Mrs. Francoise (Couture) Tanguay, 86, passed away peacefully on Monday evening, March 30, at the Village Green of Waterbury. She was the widow of Willie Tanguay.
Mrs. Tanguay was born February 28, 1929 in Lac-Megantic, Quebec, Canada, daughter of the late Adelbert and Antoinette (Roy) Couture. Francoise was a devoted and longtime member of the Shrine of St. Anne. She was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne and will be remembered for her love of baking for the family and playing bingo.
She is survived by four sons, Alain Tanguay of FL, Richard Tanguay of Waterbury, Roger Tanguay of North Haven and Michel Tanguay of Plainville; one daughter. Johanne Farrey of Waterbury; five brothers; five sisters, including Claudette Deblois of New Britain; fourteen Grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four brothers and two sisters.
Arrangements: Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 3, from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Woodtick Memorial 420 Woodtick Rd. Wolcott. A funeral service will held on Saturday morning at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial and committal will follow in the Calvary Cemetery.
