Wolcott - Mrs. Eva (Popovich) Jones, 95, passed away on Thursday, January 29, at Vitas Innovative Hospice Care at St. Marys Hospital. She was the widow of Edward S. Jones.
Eva was born July 5, 1919 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Michael and Ann (Baka) Popovich. She had retired from Lewis Engineering in Naugatuck and will be remembered for her love of playing bingo. She was an active member of All Saints Episcopal Church for over 50 years.
She is survived by her son, Robert W. Jones of Wolcott; three grandchildren, Edward R. Jones, Mark A. Jones and Jennifer J. St. Hilaire; three great grandchildren, Josh, Adam and Gabrielle and many nieces and nephews.
Arrangements: Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 14, at 1:00 P.M. at All Saints' Episcopal Church 282 Boundline Rd. in Wolcott. Friends may visit with Evas family from 11:00 A.M. until time of service at the church. Burial will be in the spring in Woodtick Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Woodtick Memorial 420 Woodtick Rd.
