Wolcott - Mr. Thomas J. Trumfio, 73, of Wolcott, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at St. Marys Hospital. He was the husband of Mrs. Donna (Jacques) Trumfio. Thomas was born on February 13, 1943 in Waterbury, son of the late Carmine and Antoinette (Gentile) Trumfio. Thomas was a graduate of Wilby High School in Waterbury and the Connecticut School of Electronics in New Haven. At an early age Thomas worked at Ciprianos Restaurant, Timex in Middlebury where he met his wife, and later was employed as an electrician at Pitney Bowes for 35 years until his retirement. After retiring Thomas volunteered at the Waterbury Soup Kitchen for a number of years. Thomas loved cooking, fishing, and spending evenings with friends playing cards. He was also a communicant at St. Maria Goretti and St. Pius X Church in Wolcott. Besides his wife Donna, Thomas is survived by his two children, Carmine Trumfio, and Patty Ann Trumfio - Gurbuz and her husband Adem; his sister Laura Lombardo; and his niece Terri Lombardo. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Maria Goretti Church, 1300 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours. Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott is assisting with arrangements.
