Rowland Anthony Passariello, (2/12/32 - 1/26/17), son of Pasquale and Marie Passariello, died at home, surrounded by his family who adored him. Rowland served the country he loved in the United States Navy prior to earning the title of Master Barber in 1951. In 1958, together with his father, Rowland founded Pat and Son Stylists in Waterbury. He held a number of leadership positions within the Barbers and Cosmetologists Local Union732 including President and Welfare Administrator. He was the former Chair of the Farmingbury Hills Golf Commission.
Rowland was predeceased by his wife, Barbara Crane Passariello and his son, Rod.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Dawn Carey and her husband, Fred; Robin McHaelen and her wife, Holly; his grandchildren, Jarod Carey and his partner, Amanda Johnson; Martina Carey Northrop; and Rylie McHaelen; his great grandchildren, Gabriel, Colton and Thomas Northrop; his best friend, Richard Tiso and a host of friends, clients and people who loved him.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, January 29, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Road, Wolcott. Burial will be held privately.
