Waterbury - Mr. Roger J. Lavertue, Jr, 51, passed away on Thursday, February 18, after a long courageous battle with cancer at the Connecticut Hospice in Branford. He was the husband of Lisa (Pelletier) Lavertue. Roger was born May 20, 1964 in Waterbury. He will best be remembered as someone who would help anyone. In addition to his beloved wife he is survived by two daughters, Rachel Lavertue and Rebecca Lavertue, both of Waterbury; two grandchildren, Kyle and Faith Olsen; ten siblings; many nieces and nephews and his faithful companion Gizmo. Arrangements: A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 27, at 2:30 P.M. at Woodtick Memorial 420 Woodtick Rd. in Wolcott. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1:30 P.M. until time of service. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made directly to Rogers family
