Wolcott - Mr. Roger J. Jacques, 78, died on Tuesday morning, January 20, at the Waterbury Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary (DeAngelis) Jacques for nearly forty seven years. Roger was born April 21, 1936 in Manchester, NH, son of the late Henry W. and Beatrice (Cloutier) Jacques. Raised in Wolcott he attended local schools and was a graduate of Bristol High School. He had served honorably in the United States Navy, alongside his brother and best friend, David. He began his working career at Superior Electric in Bristol. He was most recently worked as self-employed contractor until his retirement. He was a friend of Bill W. for thirty three years. Roger is survived by one son, Roger W. Jacques, his wife Judy Tang, and their children, David and Megan, of Belmont, CA; one daughter, Marcia M. Lombardi, her husband Tony of Bristol, and their children, Rose, Jacob and Kaitlyn; four siblings, Patricia Jacques, Andre Jacques, Anne Jacques and Donna Trumfio; and numerous nieces and nephews. Arrangements: A memorial gathering will be held at the Elks Lodge, 126 South Street Bristol, CT 06010 on Sunday, January 25, at 1:00 P.M. A private burial for family and extended relatives will be held at a later date.
