Prospect - Mr. Robert F. "Bob" Snyder, 69, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the husband of Susan (Scott) Snyder. Bob was born February 21, 1947 in Waterbury, son of the late Ross Paul and Bella (Bergeron) Snyder. Raised in Waterbury he had attended local schools and Croft High School. He had been employed by Devon Precision in Wolcott for over 40 years, retiring in 2012. He will be remembered as a skilled woodworker, loving husband, and a great father who gave the best hugs. In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by four daughters, Christine Pelkey and her husband James of Portland, Diane Tatham of Prospect, Michelle Quinn and her boyfriend Dennis Firmani of Wolcott and Kathryn Wagner and her husband Kevin of Wolcott; his siblings, Ross Snyder and his wife Roberta of Beacon Falls, Virginia Audet and her husband Gary of VT, Roger Snyder and wife Julie of OH and Charles Snyder and his wife Laurie of Waterbury; his grandchildren, Jessica Caron, Danielle Tatham, Kevin Quinn, Kelly Quinn, Matthew Wagner, Jake Wagner and Emily Wagner; Aunt and Uncle, Alice and Bob Kennedy and many nieces and nephews. Arrangements: Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, November 29, from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Woodtick Memorial 420 Woodtick Rd. in Wolcott. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, November 30, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Anthony Church, Union City Rd., Prospect. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Waterbury.
