Obituary

Wolcott - Mr. Robert R. Loranger passed away on August 8, 2016 at Bristol Hospital. Robert was born on January 25, 1933 to Oscar and Rollande Loranger. He leaves behind his loving wife of 59 years, Bridget; and sons, Michael and his wife Linda of Terryville, and David and his wife Annie of Haverford, PA; his sister, Barbara and her husband Ernie or Wolcott; and several nieces and nephews. He was especially fond of his nephew Paul Jr. who he was so very close to. Robert was predeceased by his son Robert Jr., brother Paul, and sister Rachel. Robert proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Robert along with his brother and father owned and operated Fairlawn Auto Body in Waterbury for many years. Later in life he worked at Sikorsky Aircraft from which he retired. Bob took pride in his craftsmanship whether it was woodworking or painting cars or helicopter parts. The family would like to thank the hospice unit at Bristol Hospital for the care and professionalism shown to Robert during his illness. A funeral mass will be held on August 20, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at the Shrine of St. Anne 515 S Main St, Waterbury, CT 06706. Inurnment with full military honors will follow in Calvary Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Roberts name to the Friends of Saint Anne Restoration Fund - C/O The Connecticut Community Foundation - 43 Field Street, Waterbury, CT 06702
