Torrington Robert F. Hancock, 51, formerly of Waterbury, passed away on Friday, December 13, at his home. Rob was born June 22, 1968 in Meriden, son of James F. Hancock and his wife Charlene of NC and the late Barbara E. (Donnelly) Hancock. Raised in Waterbury he attended local schools and was a graduate of Crosby High School class of 1986. He served honorably in the United States Army. He was also a friend of Bill W. In addition to his father he is survived by two brothers, Ed Hancock and his wife Jodi and Matt Hancock and his wife Tonia and his niece and nephew Chandler and Morgan. Rob was a very talented auto mechanic who was always willing to help a friend in need. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, playing with his Rottweiler Bonnie, and most of all, spending time with his niece and nephew. Calling hours will be held on Friday, December 20, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Woodtick Memorial Funeral Home 420 Woodtick Rd. in Wolcott. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, an education fund has been established for his niece and nephew.
