Wolcott- Mr. Philippe J. Roger, 84, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 31, at Vitas Innovative Hospice at St. Marys Hospital. Philippe was born February 14, 1930 in St. Patrice de Beaurivage, Quebec, Canada. He was the son of the late Alfred and Adeline (Paquette) Roger. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lucie (Bernier) Roger. He had been employed at Scovill/Century Brass for 37 years. He loved his garden, his children, his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a communicant of the Shrine of St. Anne in Waterbury for 63 years. In addition to his wife he is survived by his four children, whom he was very proud of; daughter, Anne Marie Louise (Roger) Mancini and the late Vittorio Mancini and their four children, Michael, Lisa and Victoria Mancini and Marie Mancini-Oliveira and her husband Shane; son, Philippe J. Roger, Jr and his wife Debra (Lemay Zubik) Roger and their seven children, Alicia (Zubik Roger) Shavo, Christopher Zubik, Lindsey, Kenny, McKale, Colin and Tyler Roger; daughter, Lucy(Cookie)(Roger) Ernandez and husband Mike and their two children, Jennifer and Michelle Ernandez; son Paul Roger and his wife Sandra (Balsis) Roger and their daughter Hailey Roger. Philippe was one of fifteen children and is also survived by two sisters, Denise (Roger) Therrien and husband Paul and Lauriette (Roger) Therrien. He leaves 6 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Arrangements: Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 6, from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Woodtick Memorial 420 Woodtick Rd. Wolcott. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday at 10:00 A.M. at the Shrine of St. Anne in Waterbury. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
