Waterbury, CT Peter Donald Veillette, 65, passed away in a tragic motorcycle accident, along with his loving companion of 8 years, Donna Jones, on Monday, May 1, 2017 in Gates, NC. Peter was born in Waterbury, on October 30, 1951, to the late Lucien and Helene (Hamel) Veillette. He lived the majority of his life in Waterbury, and just recently moved to NC. Peter was the owner of the family business, Waterbury Auto Spring Co. He loved Harleys and cars, especially his El Camino, and he died doing what he loved to do. Peter is survived by his daughters, Michelle McKnight, and her husband, Rob; and Nicole Veillette; his sister, Jayne Halvorsen; his grandson, Christopher DiDominzio; two nephews; as well as daughters Nicole Perkins and her husband, Donald; and Allie Jones; and 6 grandchildren. Calling hours for Peter and Donna will be held on Friday, May 19 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Road, Wolcott. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, May 20 at 9:30 a.m. at the Shrine of St. Anne, 515 S. Main St., Waterbury. Meet directly at church. Burial will be held privately.
