Paul Mario Rossi Sr. Formerly of Wolcott Waterbury Paul Mario Rossi, Sr. "Pop", 86, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Wolcott View Manor. He was the beloved husband of Janice A. (Dufresne) Rossi for 60 years. Paul was born in Middlebury on April 24, 1933 to Pietro and Dolores (Luponio) Rossi. He served his country proudly in the Air Force from 1953 1961. He retired from Richards Metal Products as an eyelet tool maker. He was also a member of the American Legion in Wolcott and the VFW of Oakville. Paul was a hardworking man and he will be dearly missed, along with his infectious smile. Paul is survived by his four sons, Paul Rossi Jr., and his wife, Cindy of Wolcott; Mark Rossi of Gloucester, Ma.; Michael Rossi of Lancaster, Sc.; and Jeffery Rossi, and his wife, Tracey of Southington; and his 4 grandchildren, Ryan, Kaitlynn, Michael, and Jessica Rossi; and his brother Charles Rossi. He was predeceased by his twin brothers Peter and Rocco Rossi. Calling hours will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 16 at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Road, Wolcott. A funeral home service will be held at 6 p.m. followed by military honors. Burial will be held privately.
