Wolcott- Mr. Mark Chaney, 63, passed away on Thursday, April 2, at his home. He was the husband of Zita (Pikauskaite) Chaney. Mark was born May 8, 1951, son of the late Dolores Wiggins. Raised in Waterbury he was a graduate of St. Joseph Grammar School and had served as an altar server while a student there. He was a graduate of Kennedy High School and the University of Connecticut. Mark was an avid reader and had a hunger for knowledge. He loved the world but his passion was in photography. Capturing a moment forever captured him and he could never do anything else. It wasnt a hobby but his life and it was good to know he never worked a day in his life because it was always what he loved doing. He was an educator to his students but a teacher to everyone around him. In addition to his wife he is survived by his son Adam Chaney of Wolcott. Arrangements: A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, April 18 at 10:00 A.M. St. Joseph Church in Waterbury. Burial will be private.
