Wolcott - John A. King III, 59, passed away suddenly early Monday morning. Born in Waterbury and raised in Wolcott, son of the late John A. King, Jr. and Elaine L. King of Wolcott. He worked as a local mechanic for over 40 years. John loved bowling, driving his motorcycle, and watching and taking his granddaughter to wrestling. He enjoyed endless hours of watching Sports Center with his cat, Squeaks, and pug, Brandi. Loving father and grandfather, he leaves behind his wife, Kathryn King; daughter, JoAnne King; son, Andrew King and his wife Stephanie; three sisters, Jan King, Julie King-Shaw, and Jean King-Lathrup. Most importantly he leaves behind his granddaughter, Kathryn Manganaro and was expecting his first grandson in early August. Family and friends may call on Thursday, May 28, 2015 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott. A funeral service will be held at 8:00 P.M. Burial will be held privately.
