Waterbury- Humberto Medina, Sr., 85, passed away on Friday, August 11, 2017 with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of the late Maria (Aviles) Medina, of 59 years. Humberto was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico on December 15, 1931, son of the late Domitilio and Catalina (Colon) Medina. Before his retirement, he worked as a driver at the Waterbury Arc. Humberto is survived by his children, Evelyn Velez, and her husband, Moises, of Waterbury; Humberto Medina, Jr., and his wife, Isabel, of Florida; and Edwin Medina, and his wife, Migdalia, of Wolcott; his grandchildren, Brenda Barbosa; Mayra Rios; Eric Medina; Carlos Medina; Eleesia Medina; and Elian Medina; his siblings, Manuel A.; Crusita; Ramonita; Isabel; and Casilda; 7 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews, and extended family. Humberto was predeceased by 4 siblings, Lydia, Felipe, Angel M., and Nelson. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 16 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Road, Wolcott. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 13 Wolcott Street, Waterbury. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
