Waterbury Claude W. LaFreniere, 74, passed away on Sunday, April 19, at his home after a long struggle with COPD. Claude was born February 1, 1946 in Waterbury, son of the late Wilbrod and Therese (Arvisais) LaFreniere. Raised in Waterbury, Claude was a graduate of St. Annes Grammar School and Croft High School. He worked for many years as a porter at St. Marys Hospital. Claude is survived by his brothers, Gilles LaFreniere of Thomaston and Richard P. LaFreniere of Waterbury with whom he resided; two nieces and six nephews. In addition to his parents, Claude was predeceased by his sister, Claire Giroux.
