Waterbury Mr. Charles E. (Ched) Caisse, 67, passed away on Saturday, November 4. He was the husband of Michele (Duff) Caisse. Charles was born January 25, 1956, in Waterbury, son of the late Arthur J. Sr. and Monica (Batters) Caisse. Raised in Waterbury, he attended local schools and was a graduate of Crosby High School, class of 1974. While at Crosby he was a member of the varsity baseball team and attained all-city, all-NVL and all-state honors as a catcher. He later had a tryout for the Cincinnati Reds. He was an avid New York Yankees and could always be found watching a game. He served honorably in the United States Army as a helicopter missile systems technician. He retired from the US Postal Service and after retirement found great joy in spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his loving wife he leaves two sons, Ched D. Caisse, Sr and his wife Victoria of Wolcott and Mickey C. Caisse of Waterbury; three brothers, Arthur J. Caisse, Jr of Wolcott, John R. Caisse and his wife Maria of Waterbury and Richard M. Caisse and his wife Mari of Terryville; two sisters, Judith M. Lamadeleine and her husband Norman of Wolcott and Susan Trojanoski and her husband Edward of Thomaston; two grandchildren, Ched D. Caisse, Jr and Madisyn J. Caisse and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother David J. Caisse. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 9, at 12:00 P.M. at Woodtick Memorial 420 Woodtick Rd. Wolcott. Friends may visit with Charless family from 10:00 A.M. until time of service. Burial with full military honors will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
