Obituary

Wolcott- Mr. Anthony J. Bosco, 85, passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2015 at Vitas Hospice Care at St. Marys Hospital after a brief illness. He was the husband of Jean H. (Sanford) Bosco. Mr. Bosco was born March 9, 1930 in Waterbury, son of the late Anthony and Lenora (Butavich) Bosco. Raised in Waterbury he attended local schools and was a graduate of Leavenworth High School, class of 1950. He had served honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War and worked as mason in Connecticut as a member of the Bricklayers Union, IUBAC, for many years. Over the years, Tony enjoyed and excelled at many hobbies and activities. He and his family enjoyed spending summers camping and traveling, spending hours on the water, skiing, sailing and fishing. He was an expert Marksman, enjoyed spending time with his wife and friends square/round dancing, motorcycling throughout New England and across the Country and traveling throughout the world. Other hobbies included sailing, wood carving and radio controlled airplanes. He served as Commodore for two of his favorite hobbies, the Connecticut Ice Boat Yacht Club and the Housatonic Model Yacht Club. Most recently, he enjoyed his coffee get togethers, soduko puzzles, computer games and visits with his grandchildren. In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Janet L. Bosco (Wesley), Theresa DiNapoli (Charles), Anthony Bosco (Elizabeth) and Christine Bosco(Karen); five grandchildren, Michael, Laura and Katie DiNapoli and Andrew and Ruth Bosco; one great-grandson, Jaxon Swartout; his sister-in-laws, Joan Latina and her husband Frank and Jeanne Bosco of Deland, FL and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, William Bosco and sister, Jacqueline Ciccio. Arrangements: Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 17, from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Woodtick Memorial 420 Woodtick Rd, Wolcott. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 18, at 11:00 A.M. at All Saints Episcopal Church 282 Bound Line Rd., Wolcott. Friends are asked to meet at church. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Tonys name to All Saints Episcopal Church 282 Bound Line Rd. P.O. Box 6015 Wolcott, CT 06716.
